Wondering what to get your mom for mother’s day? Keep reading on to learn more about my experience at Tanger Outlets and what I bought MY mom for Mother’s Day and maybe you’ll get some ideas!

Did you miss Part 1? Click here to read it.

After we got out of Old Navy, we headed across the parking lot over to Rue 21, a store I have been wanting to check out but had never been in before. It was actually pretty cool, but most of the clothes are geared towards juniors. Lots of brightly colored, graphic tees and more…

As always, I headed straight for the clearance racks and scored some awesome tops and a put together a neat little outfit too!

I also got an awesome dress for my mom for only $16.99

All of those clothes only cost me $44.94! Discounts taken at the register included 50% off several of the items. I was quite pleased!!

From there, we headed over to Bath & Body Works and grabbed a bunch of hand sanitizers because you can never have enough of those!

By then, it was almost 4:00pm so we headed across the street to the Green Ginger Chinese Restaurant. The food was pretty amazing and the prices were great. I would definitely go back there!

When we headed back to the outlets, we decided we definitely couldn’t pass up going to the L’eggs Hanes Bali Playtex Outlet for some serious bra shopping!

After almost 2 hours and 47 bras later, I purchased 4 bras – 2 bras for me, 2 bras for my mom, some steeply discounted socks as well as a pair of undies, all for just under $65. The bras were normally $25-$30 each but they were having a storewide 30% off sale so that saved us a lot on top of finding two of the bras on the clearance rack. Win!

From there, I went to Gap Outlet. I hadn’t gotten anything for my little dude all day and he really needed some new pants since he’s growing like a weed and almost 2 years old now. I got him a cute pair of grey pants off the clearance rack (of course!) for only $11.99, a baseball cap for only $4.99, a pack of adorable socks I couldn’t pass up for $12.99, a little tie on sale for only $3.99 and a pair of jeans for $15.99.

They talked me into opening a Gap credit card to get 20% off my order. If it was 10%, I probably would have said never mind, because I already have an Old Navy credit card, but I couldn’t say no to 20% off. At the register I grabbed a light up ball for my son to play with in the car on the way home for $3.99. My total, after the 20% off was just $46.34 for all 6 items. Do I know how to shop or what?!

Our last stop was Dressbarn…. My mother talked me into going there, although I really didn’t want to… I had never been in a Dressbarn before but just the name alone made me not want to shop there! “Dress… BARN… ?! I’m more of a Banana Republic or Loft girl myself…” I said to her. “You’ll love it! Come on!” my mom said and dragged me in.

I was exhausted and happy to finally sit down and let my mom do a little shopping. They were having a major sale on shoes… all of them, including boots, were only $12.99 a pair!!!!! WOAH! What?! Okay, I had to get in on that… We spent about an hour trying on every single pair of shoes in the store just about, and chose 4 pairs. My mom also got a pair of stretch jeans and a pair of leggings. The total came to $63.50 which was great for 4 pairs of shoes and 2 pairs of pants! Like, wow.

When I got home, I put all my bags in the kitchen in a pile and stared at them for a moment…

Um…….. where’s my Dressbarn bag? WHERE’S MY DRESSBARN BAG?! WITH ALL THE SHOEBOXES?! OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!

Apparently, I forgot my bags in the store. And they didn’t call me and tell me until over a half an hour after I left the store… and was on the way home… but I didn’t have cell phone service at the time and didn’t realize that I had a message until I checked my phone AFTER I was already home and had discovered I forgot the bag.

O.M.G.

One phone call later and I will be able to pick up the entire purchase at my local Dressbarn in Nashua, NH sometime this week.

Other than THAT little debacle, I had a wonderful time at Tanger’s. I actually met with the assistant manager at Shopping Services before I shopped the outlets and she told me all about the outlets, the sale and promotions they had going on and all kinds of stuff like that. She was amazing, super polite and friendly.

I’ve been to other outlets that were not very good at all… I posted about one of them that I hated, back in March of this year. I’m glad I didn’t have a similar experience at Tangers! All of the stores were wonderful, the prices were great, they actually had lots of stuff on sale and on clearance racks (which is where I always aim for) and the staff at every store was friendly and helpful. What more could you ask for? Well, I wish they were closer so I could shop there more often!

Tanger Outlets provided me with a gift card to shop at the outlets and share my experience on this blog. This did not affect my opinion of the outlets.
